SHARPSBURG-Purple and Gold met again Monday evening in a battle between the two junior varsity versions of the East Coweta Lady Indians.

At the end of the 90-minute contest, the Gold came away with a 6-3 victory as Bella Waddell and Katelyn Bowen each scored twice.
The Gold scored the first run of the game with one out in the top of the second inning as Bowen reached on a bloop single to right field.
Bowen advanced to third on a single by Zoey Brown before coming home when Catherine Maxwell grounded out to shortstop.
The Purple people responded by scoring all of their runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Reese McFadden reached on a one out single and Callie Mucha followed with a double with the former coming home on a single by Ariana Huber.
An infield error allowed Mucha to come home and the final run of the frame scored as Huber stole home.
However, the Gold team responded in the top of the third inning with three runs to regain the lead.
Abby Wheeler led off by reaching on a walk and Keyleigh Gardner followed with a bunt single.
Waddell lined a double to right center field and both runners came home to tie the game at 3-3.
After the inning's first out, Waddell would come home with the go ahead run Kylie Rozier lined a single to left field.
Bowen gave the Gold a 5-3 lead in the top of fourth inning as she reached on a leadoff walk, moved to second on a groundout and advanced to third on a wild pitch and scoring on an infield error.
Waddell scored the final run of the game in the top of the fifth inning by reaching first after being hit by a pitch and eventually coming home on a sacrifice fly to right field by McFadden.
Brown pitched four innings to record the win for the Gold squad allowing three hits and recording three strikeouts before Waddell took over in the fifth inning allowing a pair of two out singles.
The Purple will travel to LaGrange to face Troup County on Wednesday on a doubleheader while the Gold will host Harris County on Thursday.
The Varsity will travel to Douglasville for a Region 2-6A game on Tuesday against Chapel Hill as the first of three games during the week.
