2-AAAAAAA ALL REGION TEAM
Win all of your games as well as a state championship and the team will come away with a lot of gold as evidenced by the East Coweta Lady Indians as the Region 2-AAAAAAA team was announced.
Rachel Vaughan, who pitched a 10-0 shutout over Etowah in the final of the Elite Eight for EC, was named pitcher of the year while Kelley Lynch was named Player of the Year.
The Lady Indians had seven players named to the squad along with two named honorable mention.
Newnan also had seven players while Westlake had three, Wheeler had two (two honorable mention) and Campbell had one (three honorable mention)..
