The four inning Region 2-AAAAAAA win improved the overall record for the season to 20-4 and 10-1 in the region with a non-region contest Tuesday evening in Douglasville against the Alexander Cougars.

As for the Monday contest, Devonte Brown and JJ Freed reached on walks and stole bases that eventually led to the first run of the game after a sacrifice fly to right field by Ryan Dyal.
A single by Ethan Darrow scored Freed and after four consecutive walks had a 4-0 lead that increased as Ryan Griffin had an RBI single followed by a walk to Brown and a sacrifice fly to center field by Freed that was dropped.
After Caleb Cashion was hit by a pitch, Trevor Crowdis hit a sacrifice fly that scored Griffin with the ninth and final run of the frame.
Indians starter Avery Reynolds opened the top of the second inning by inducing a ground ball to Smith at shortstop before allowing a double and consecutive swinging strikeouts to end the frame.
The Indians added to the lead in the bottom of the second inning as Dooley Bunn was hit by a pitch, Brandon frost reached on an error before William Kelley recorded his first varsity hit with a two run single to left field.
A walk to Griffin followed and after the first out of the frame was recorded, Freed picked up his first varsity hit with a single to center field and his second RBI of the game to give EC a 12-0 lead.
Liam West took over for Reynolds took over in the top of third inning and despite an unearned run had few problems as he recorded two strikeouts and induced a ground ball back to the mound.
The Indians were held scoreless in the bottom of the third inning and in the top of the fourth inning, Austin Bunn took over on the mound while his brother Dooley remained in the game behind the plate.
The Bunn on the mound made quick work of the Falcons as he recorded two strikeouts in his first varsity game.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Indians were able to put the game away as Grioffin singled and eventually scored on a wild pitch while Smith recorded his first varsity hit and with oneout Cashion walked and Crowdis followed with his second sacrifice fly and RBI as Smith scored from third.
Jeff Sangster gave "the Kiddie Korps" another hit as he doubled to left center field for his first varsity hit as Cashion came home.
Dooley Bunn hit a ground ball to shortstop that was mishandled allowing Sangster to move third and the latter eventually came home on an error in the outfield.
As a group, the younger Indians were 4-for-9 at the plate with four walks, two hit by pitch, a stolen base and scored seven runs.
