Wright shuts down Campbell on a two hit, 11K performance.

SHARPSBURG-Aniston Wright made the pitch when needed Tuesday night as she allowed two hits over seven innings with 11 strikeouts as the East Coweta Lady Indians defeated the Campbell Lady Spartans 7-0 in a Region 2-7A contest played at home.
The win improves the Lady Indians’ record to 13-0 overall and 3-0 in region play while the Lady Spartans drop to 4-6, 2-1 with the loss.
Aniston Wright allowed two hits and recorded 11 strikeouts in the 7-0
win over Campbell.
The Lady Indians scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the opening frame as Lilly Agan singled, stole second and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Olivia Davis before coming home on a single by Kelley Lynch.
In the bottom of the second inning, EC added to the lead after two outs as Caroline Lively singled and after courtesy runner Krys Odum stole second, Carmen Prior singled to left and Odum was waved home.
The Lady Indians had a chance to score several runs I n the bottom of third inning with Lynch and Wright on base with one out, but they had to settle for one as Caison Byars dropped a two out single that scored Lynch.
The run per inning plan continued in the bottom of the fourth as Davis reached on a one out single, stole second and came home on a single to left by Lynch.
Two runs scored with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning as Rachel Vaughan reached on an error and Byars singled with both advancing after a groundout and eventually scoring on a single by Prior who had three RBIs in the game.
The final run of the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning as Lynch completed a 4-for-4, two run, three RBI game with a solo home run over the center field fence.
Meanwhile, Wright had the game in control on the pitching rubber as she gave up two singles and was able to retire the Lady Spartans with the strikeout ball.
Next for the Lady Indians will be a trip to Northgate on Thursday with the junior varsity slated to play at 4:30 while the varsity will play at 6.

Streamcity to broadcast game at Northgate

The contest between East Coweta and Northgate on Thursday is scheduled to be aired by Streamcity.org.
Broadcast time is scheduled for 6 and to reach the internet radio station, go to streamcity.org and either click the "play" button on the Stream City Coweta radio station or simply clicking the logo for the game underneath the "Live Sports" banner. 
The station will also broadcast the Newnan-Northgate game on Wednesday.
