Whitewater wins JV game over East Coweta

SHARPSBURG-Mason Clark singled home the go ahead run with two outs in the top of the eighth inning to give the Whitewater Wildcats a 4-3 win over the East Coweta Indians in a Junior Varsity baseball game played Monday evening.
The game was tied at 3-3 as the top of the eighth began when Dylan Goodman led off with a single and eventually stole second base to get into scoring position.
Goodman appeared to be left on base as Indians' pitcher Ryan Griffin recorded a pair of strikeouts but Clark was able to drive a two strike pitch into the outfield for the go ahead run.
In the bottom of the frame the Indians were unable to respond as Wildcats reliever Drew Toro retired the side in order with a pair of strikeouts as he recorded a save.
The visiting Wildcats took the lead in the top of the third inning as T.J. berry reached on a one out walk, took second on a groundout and moved to third on a passed ball before scoring on a wild pitch.
Stone Kasten reached on a two out walk and advanced to second before scoring on a single to left by Reid Kasten.
Whitewater added to the lead in the top of the fourth inning as Dalton Goodman reached base and moved to secon on a wild pitch befor advancing to third on a fielder's choice.
After a strikeout, Berry gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead with a single to center that scored a courtesy runner.
East Coweta rallied in the bottom of the frame with one out as Dooley Bunn reached on an error and Nick Daniel followed with a double.
Anthony Williams hit a ground ball to second but the ball was mishandled and both runners came home to cut the margin to 3-2.
The Indians tied the game in the bottom of the fifth as Jeff Sangster reached on an error and advanced on a single by Matthew Ralich before scoring on a throwing error that allowed Bailey Psathas to reach base.
