SHARPSBURG-Madison Duffel isn't a Ramblin' Wreck yet but Wednesday night she provided a wrecking ball with three hits, a walk and a pair of RBIs to lead the East Coweta Lady Indians to a 6-0 win over the Northgate Lady Vikings.
The win improves the EC overall mark to 22-2 while Northgate fell to 12-10 on the season.
The first three innings of the game was a pitching duel between Jada Savage of East Coweta and Jackie Burns of Northgate as both were locked into a scoreless tie.
The Lady Indians broke open the scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning when Riley Ratzlaff singled and Maggie Stubbs reached on a walk.

Duffel, a recent Georgia Tech committee, broke the scoreless when she hit a 2-2 offering from Burns into left field that allowed Ratzlaff and Stubbs to come home.
The Lady Indians were able to put the game away in the bottom of the sixth inning against Burns as 10 batters went to the plate with four coming home.
Ratzlaff led off by reaching on a walk and after advancing to second on a groundout was able to score on single to right field by Kate Miller.
Duffel followed with her third hit of the game with a single and a walk to Payton Roberson loaded the bases and prompted a pitching change as Burns was replaced by Savannah Chitnis.

Meanwhile, Savage was rolling along with a one-hitter with solid

Along with inducing contact by the Lady Vikings, Savage was also able to record five strikeouts.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at Northgate.
HOT PINK OUT: The evening was marked by pinkout as survivors of Breast Cancer were honored. Each player represented at least one person affected by the disease.
Denny Bowen, the mother of an ECHS graduate and a current student, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The occasion also marked the impending one year anniversary of Bowen being cancer free after her bout with Breast Cancer.
