SHARPSBURG-Sophia Vaccariello was 3-for-3 Wednesday with two RBIs and two runs scored to help lead the East Coweta Lady Indians to an 8-0 home win over the Northgate Lady Vikings in a junior varsity contest.
The five inning win improved
the Lady Indians' record to 17-1-1 on the season.
East Coweta took the lead in
the bottom of the first inning as Payton Wilson led off with a
single, stole second and scored when Vaccariello lined a double
to center field.
Wilson was 2-for-3 at the plate in the game.

Chaffin was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Indians and scored twice in the game.
The Lady Indians added
to the lead in the bottom of the second inning as Keyleigh Gardner
and Sydney Stubbs reached on consecutive singles with Gardner coming
home
on the front end of a double steal.
Stubbs eventually gave
the Lady Indians a 5-0 advantage when she scored on a single to right center field
by Vaccariello.
The score remained 5-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning when Vaccariello reached on a one out single and Chaffin followed with a double.

After stealing second, Gopie scored on a double to left field by Maddie Lindon to end the game.
Benefitting from the run support was Camryn Horton who allowed
singles to Makenzie Khaler and Kaelyn Bowen while recording a dozen strikeouts.

In her last three starts, Horton has allowed two hits and recorded 31 strikeouts in 15 innings.
The two teams will meet again Tuesday afternoon at Northgate and the Lady Indians will conclude their season on Thursday at home against Pike County.
